Janice weighs in on underage models

How young is too young for girls to model?
World’s first supermodel worries what could befall 13-year-old Australian

Janice Dickinson was the world’s first supermodel, and she doesn’t care how adult and graceful Australian model Maddison Gabriel looks on a fashion runway. At barely 13 years of age, she’s just too young, Dickinson said.

“There’s lots of drugs, there’s lots of alcohol, there’s lots of photographers preying on these girls,” Dickinson said Tuesday on TODAY. “Thirteen is way too young.”

Maddison turned 13 on Sunday; she was still 12 when she was chosen as the “face” and official ambassador of the Gold Coast Fashion Week in Australia. At 5 feet 7 inches, the blue-eyed girl has the looks and the moves to model clothing — some of it provocative — designed for women two and three times her age.

“It doesn’t matter about the age,” she says with adolescent insouciance. “It matters that you can do the job. I can fit into women’s clothes. I can model women’s clothes, so I should be able to do it.”

“Well, there’s babies on TV, isn’t there, doing commercials,” says her mother, Michelle Gabriel, who has been wildly criticized in Australia for allowing her daughter to start modeling at such a young age. “You tell me. What is too young?”

The Gabriels were in London when they made those statements recently. Maddison can not work as a fashion model in Europe, though; the age limit for runway work there is 16.

And Dickinson said that she will not allow any girls under 18 to model for her agency.

“I have about 32 girls who are dying to break that 18-year-old mark,” she told TODAY co-host Matt Lauer. “Get your high school diploma and then come and see me.”

Dickinson knows what she’s talking about. Born in 1955 in Brooklyn to parents she’s described as dysfunctional at best, she went to Europe to become a model in the 1970s and catapulted to stardom.

She also leaped into the world of Studio 54, alcohol, drugs and indiscriminate sex, once telling Howard Stern that she had slept with at least 1,000 men.

Dickinson, who still looks spectacular at 52, is sober now, the owner of her own modeling agency and a judge on “America’s Next Top Model.” She also appears on “The Surreal Life.”

Janice 2nd on "I'm a Celebrity..."

Janice is runner up

“Oh maaaaaaaan!” Janice was pipped to the podium by Jungle King Biggins.

Branded a “big, bold and beautiful lunatic” by Katie, Janice Dickinson is one contestant that we won’t forget in a hurry.

And with a rat bite and record 10 Bushtucker Trials under her belt, we have a feeling that the experience made a bit of a mark on the lady herself too.

“I thought it was a holiday,” the former supermodel barked as she bounded back from the jungle. “I thought it was a spa, and I thought I was going to get a shot at him!” she added, pointing at Dec.

“I’m sort of a room service kind of girl, or so I thought. I feel like I’ve really conquered some fears.” And she couldn’t have done it without the support of our hosts with the most.

Yes, after cracking on to Dec, nicknaming Ant “Junior”, and finally conquering those cockroaches in her final stunning Trial, Stake Out, was Janice really that terrified as she shrieked, “I can’t eat croc d**k, are you insane?”

“I meant it,” she insisted. “There was no acting about it, otherwise I would be in Hollywood."

And did The Dickinson think that she’d romp all the way to the final?

“Noo!” she hollered at the boys. “I’m elated. I got this far, I’m grateful to the people of the United Kingdom… A rat came onto my bed and took a chomp. I got beaten up, knocked over, bowled over and bitten.

“I didn’t think I’d make it through anything. I equate this to the delivery of my two children – the most difficult thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.

“It’s been the biggest, most extraordinary experience in my life and I’m so grateful for everything I’m A Celebrity has given me.

“God save the King!” she bawled, as her interview wrapped and she leapt towards the bridge.

'Here here!' we holler, and bottoms up to the both of you.

I'm A Celeb's Janice attacks Cerys for romance with Marc

I'm a Celeb contestant Janice Dickinson spoke out in camp last night, suggesting Marc Bannerman's eviction was due to his budding romance with fellow mate Cerys Matthews.

The supermodel left Catatonia front-woman Cerys speechless as she claimed she would never have behaved in the same way with any member of camp and that she would be devastated to see her own boyfriend developing feelings for someone on screen.

Janice's attacks came in response to Cerys's confusion as to why Marc was voted off the show, advising her that she should be careful about how she behaves on television.

Janice said: "He's like a really handsome guy but every time he hugged me I had to break away because if my boyfriend saw me hugging that guy in the jungle...

"If I was watching my boyfriend hug you in the jungle I would cut his f***in' d**k off," She added.

Contestant Rodney Marsh added: "So what's so hard to understand from that point of view then?"

Cerys was left worried and blank faced as the weight of her actions started to dawn on her but a loyal Anna Ryder Richardson jumped to her defence, saying: "Yes but he did hug everybody."

However, an adamant Janice insisted: "No, he didn't hug me," later adding in the Bush Telegraph: "There's a whole lot of reachy-reachy touchy-touchy that can take place in a hammock and they were in the hammock every night."

Bannerman's eviction has changed the dynamic in camp and added to the already unsettling tension caused by arguments between the older members of the camp, mainly Lynne Franks and Rodney Marsh.

Anna said: “Marc has left a massive hole in all of us actually, in every single one of us and we were all gobsmacked is the only word I can say.”

Meanwhile, serial Bushtucker Trial participants Janice and Lynne breathed a sigh of relief when Cerys and Gemma Atkinson were chosen to perform Thursday's task.

Cerys performed her first ever trial, in contrast to the former supermodel, who took part in her eighth trial during Wednesday's episode.

The trial came as a pleasant distraction to Cerys as she claimed the trial would help keep her mind busy after Marc's eviction.

Ex-Hollyoaks babe Gemma and Cerys greeted presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who declared they were pleased to see new faces taking part in the tasks, instead of the usual participants Janice and Lynne.

Welsh singer Cerys said: "That's right, virgin trialists."

Dec went on to explain the Bat Out Of Hell task, which involved the girls being strapped into a reverse bungee.

Cerys and Gemma would then be flung into the air and would attempt to throw paint-covered tennis balls at an inflatable cone suspended in the air.

For every ball which hits the cone, the camp would win one meal.

As Ultimo underwear model Gemma realised she would be travelling at 50 miles-per-hour, she laughed: "It's a good job we haven't eaten or else we'd be puking."

After two misses, Gemma finally succeeded on her third attempt and won a meal from camp.

The thrilled 23-year-old shouted: "About frigging time, isn't it?"

After Gemma's turn, it was Cerys' time to try, who made no attempt to hide her fear as she screamed during her first ascent.

After scoring two meals during her first two attempts, lucky Cerys managed to hit the bonus black and white section, which meant she had won an extra three meals for her hungry camp-mates.

Ant told a triumphant Cerys: "You could turn into an adrenaline junkie after that – extreme sports and everything."

Cerys admitted: "That's what I'm scared about, this is nuts. It was horrible. I'm absolutely still shaking it was good but when you realise you've got to fall it's just not right."

Gemma agreed: "I hated it... not a nice feeling."

The two girls happily returned to camp with a total of six meals.

Janice Dickinson tells Gemma Atkinson to roll about in chocolate

Gemma Atkinson Former supermodel Janice Dickinson, who claims to have had 1,000 lovers - has been giving glamor model Gemma Atkinson advice on how to spice-up her sex life.

Dickinson, 52, claims that a bar of chocolate is a very erotic thing to rub all over your body.

“She said I should roll about in it. It sounds amazing. But to be quite honest, I’d probably be far too busy eating it.”

Jungle Janice: I'm a CeLESBrity!

By Gemma Calvert
JUNGLE wildcat Janice Dickinson cheetah-ed on Mick Jagger to get her claws into a blonde for some hot lesbian love.

The former supermodel was meant to be CONSOLING her best pal—a "gorgeous platinum beauty" called Pia—after she split from Mick's fellow Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood.

But Janice revealed: "One thing led to another and before long I was crossing the line.

"Pia and I ended up spending an awesome evening together—having the best sex ever. Maybe it was her grief at losing one of the greatest rock guitarists in history.

"Or maybe she was just horny.

"Whatever. As girl-on-girl interludes go, it was hot, steamy and wild."

Loudmouth Janice, who boasts a "perfect" 36C-24-34 figure, also claims to have bedded actress Kelly LeBrock and singer Grace Jones as well as a string of Hollywood males including Sylvester Stallone, Jack Nicholson, and Bruce Willis.

And though she is now dating cameraman Tommy Fry, she says she prefers women.

"You get to have sex, swap shoes and that toilet seat stays down at all times," she explained.

Now unsuspecting female campers, including stunning Gemma Atkinson, 23, and Apprentice bitch Katie Hopkins, 32, could find themselves being hunted down by sex-mad Janice in the Australian jungle.

The botoxed beauty, now 52, had her best-friend fling in the mid-80s, at the height of her affair with Jagger. But though she claims to have had hundreds of lovers since, she can't forget it.

"My night with Pia remains an awesome memory." she sighed.

Ouch! The thing Mick Jagger did to increase the size of his peepee…

This story has a sting to it… Mick Jagger went through great lengths to increase the size of his penis after a former girlfriend criticized the size of it according to AZ Central. Janice Dickinson told an interviewer, "Mick has a very small penis." Well Mick for obvious reason was embarrassed and decided to make a change to what Janice said. According to Julien Temple this is what he did, "It involved putting bamboo over the male member and filling it with stinger bees so the member attained the size of the bamboo. Mick spent months in the jungle in Peru. He was going mad out there I think." Yes you read that right he got a bunch of bees to sting his penis in the hopes it would swell the size. I am female and even I feel the pain of that. Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch!

And just a side note, maybe he isn't that small it is Janice Dickinson's perception of what a normal man's penis size should be, if you know what I mean…

Janice Dickinson Gets Tummy Tuck and Neck Lift

Wednesday October 10, 2007

Janice Dickinson, an outspoken fan of plastic surgery, has some new work she will soon take public.

Usmagazine.com has learned exclusively that Dickinson, 52, the self-proclaimed "world's first supermodel," underwent a tummy tuck and "mini neck lift" Monday in Beverly Hills. The surgeon: Dr. Frank Ryan, the plastic surgeon to the stars who famously augmented the breasts of Hills star Heidi Montag.

A source tells Us that while "Janice knows people will think she didn't need a tummy tuck," she's been complaining about "a lot of extra skin" on her lower abdomen and wanted tighter abs. The source adds that she opted for the mini neck lift as an after thought because "she might as well since she was going under."

According to the source, Dickinson, star of Oxygen Network's Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, is now resting at the Serenity after-care center in Santa Monica.

Just prior to having a facelift in 2004, Dickinson explained the appeal of plastic surgery to Entertainment Tonight: "I consider plastic surgery important because I'm in front of the camera, I still model, and, quite frankly, I was noticing my skin looking like a turkey wobbler. I'm just trying to hang on to what I got."

A rep for Dickinson couldn't be reached for comment.

Janice Dickinson warns Katie Hopkins: 'I'm reigning queen of bitches'

Fireworks were expected to fly on I'm A Celebrity after self-confessed man-eater Katie Hopkins was flown into the jungle to join an already warring camp.

Contestants Janice Dickinson and Lynne Franks have been at loggerheads in the reality TV show with name-calling and threats of violence all within 24 hours.

Now Miss Hopkins - who became the most reviled contestant in The Apprentice when she boasted of her affairs with married men - has been sent in to set the cat among the pigeons and is tipped to ignite tensions still further.

A show insider said: "It was thought that putting another alpha-female into the camp would be sure to create fireworks. She is another strong character to add to an already headstrong mix."

Miss Hopkins, who described herself as "Simon Cowell in female form", is predicted to vie for the position of least popular camp member amongst her team mates - two of whom have already fallen out in spectacular fashion.

The team, which is made up nearly entirely of women, features self-proclaimed supermodel Miss Dickinson, 52, and PR guru Miss Franks, 59, who were locked in a feud less than 24 hours after being thrown together in the Australian Outback.

Queen Bees: Katie joined fellow alpha females Janice Dickinson (left) and Lynne Franks

Within hours of meeting the former Apprentice Miss Dickinson threw down the gauntlet and declared she was the "reigning queen" of bitches in the camp.

Despite her insults Miss Dickinson redeemed herself last night in her second jungle task.

The camp went hungry after she lost the first trial when she refused to put her head in a tank full of eels.

But yesterday she won nine stars which she threw from a sinking Land Rover submerged in a swamp, beating football pundit Rodney Marsh for the Croc Creek team.

Rumours of romance were also rife as Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews was seen getting cosy with former Eastenders actor Marc Bannerman.

The pair hugged and tickled each other as they flirted in the Croc Creek camp.

Speaking from her five star hotel before her entry into the jungle Miss Hopkins warned: "I do say things as I see them and I do create tensions because I am outrageously honest and therefore rude in many cases to other people's sensitivities.

"But for people who don't know me well I am a breath of fresh air, I am a sort of Simon Cowell in female form without perhaps the witty one-liners that he's got.

"I say things as they are and normally it's not something you see in a woman."

She added: "Men particularly can do it, women aren't allowed to but I say b*******s to that and you know, I think it's a good thing."

Hopkins is a replacement for former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren who dramatically quit the show before even entering the camp.

The mother of two's inclusion means that Jason "J" Brown is the lone male in the tempestuous group.

She surprised Snake Rock camper Gemma Atkinson by appearing from the jungle fauna after the glamour girl was sent to bring a treasure chest back to camp.

The former Met Office employee, who was fired following negative publicity in the Apprentice, admitted that she tends to be impatient.

She said: "I don't like moaners, I don't like people that drip, I don't like lazy people, I don't like doom and gloom people and I don't like people who are very 'me'. I would have to take the p*** out of them."

Miss Hopkins established her reputation as a homewrecker after naked pictures of the 32 year-old man-eater romping in a field with married colleague Mark Cross, 43, were published this year.

The couple now live together and plan to marry after Mr Cross' divorce is finalised.

Both Miss Hopkins and former supermodel Miss Dickinson, 53, pride themselves on speaking their mind which is sure to result in explosive catfights.

Miss Dickinson has already boasted she "grew up in a swamp" with outdoors survival skills while Hopkins is a graduate of Sandhurst military academy.

Friendships have been slow to form in the first 24 hours of jungle life.

Janice Dickinson and Lynne Franks had an immediate personality clash with Dickinson branding Franks a "shrew" while the PR guru retaliated and called her "brash" and "aggressive".

Before even making it into camp Miss Dickinson - who had a tummy tuck and neck lift in preparation for camp life - warned Franks: "You don't want me as an enemy - say nice things about me."

The Crocs have proved themselves the more harmonious team made up of interior design presenter Anna Ryder Richardson, ex-Eastenders actor Mark Bannerman, pop singer Cerys Matthews and Michelin-starred chef John Burton Race.

While the Snakes canoed into camp the Crocs made a 1000 foot bungee jump from a helicopter, a feat which made both Cerys Matthews and Ryder Richardson cry with fear.

Janice Dickinson, superannuated supermodel
WOMAN OF THE WEEK

THE term "maneater" is an oft abused one, but, in the case of Janice Dickinson, the self-anointed "world's first supermodel" and one of the cast of the latest series of I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! which kicked off on ITV last night, it may just be accurate. Storming into a room on the I'm A Celebrity ... set last weekend, Dickinson, 52, eyed up 32-year-old Declan Donnelly, one half of the show's presenting duo Ant and Dec, and seemingly oblivious to his identity declared: "Another hottie! Hi, where are you from?"

But then why would you expect anything but terrifying boldness from the woman who recently claimed on the US radio programme The Howard Stern Show to have slept with more than 1,000 men (including Mick Jagger, Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Sylvester Stallone and Frank Zappa), has been divorced three times, and proudly calls herself "big-lipped Janice"?

While not yet a household name in the UK, Dickinson has been delighting gossip columnists in America since the early 1970s, when she became one of the first celebrity models, gracing the covers of Vogue and Elle magazines by day and partying with Andy Warhol and Truman Capote at Studio 54 by night. By 1979 she was one of the world's most recognisable models, the face of Revlon and a muse to Versace, Valentino, Alaia and other leading couturiers.

After three marriages, two children, copious amounts of substance abuse and the inevitable ravages of time, her modelling career was generally perceived to be on the wane - but then she was cannily hired by fellow former model Tyra Banks in 2002 to be "the Simon Cowell" of reality TV show America's Next Top Model, and Dickinson's frank, bitchy persona found a whole new audience. Her breathtakingly catty remarks ("you're too fat for modelling, honey") and all-or-nothing attitude ("you're dead to me now") made her an instant star, equally loved and loathed by millions of viewers.

In the end, she was allegedly fired from the show by Banks for her mouthy attitude, but, undaunted, went on to star in a rival show, Janice Dickinson's Modelling Agency, in which she attempted to sign up her own army of models, berated 19-year-olds for having miniscule amounts of cellulite, and jumped into swimming pools wearing thousands of dollars' worth of designer clothing.

She is remarkably up front about having had plastic surgery, saying that "without the fake breasts and the face lift, there'd be a middle-aged gray-haired lady staring at you". She was even filmed getting Botox injections for her show.

What you see is what you get with Dickinson: "I will never, ever respond to anybody - man, woman, vegetable or mineral - who tells me to keep my mouth shut." she said recently. Exactly, one imagines, what the producers of I'm A Celebrity... are hoping for.
